Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of site is this?
This web site is dedicated to vintage racing. We are building a vintage racing video database for your entertainment. Our Internet video is displayed at a very high quality. We have encoded our video to work with most current computers with a DSL or cable modem connection. The video may not play smoothly with an older machine or with a lot of other tasks running.

What are the site requirements?
This web site uses JavaScript for the navigation menus and cookies for the forum. The videos require Flash 8.0 or higher installed in order to play. This web site checks for your version of Flash and alerts you to upgrade, if necessary. You can download the latest version of Flash HERE.

Do I allow pop-ups?
Yes, you need to allow pop-ups. They are used in the racing forum. There are no pop-up ads on this site, and when you leave our site, we don't leave any ads under your browser.

How does my club/track get a free banner?
First, make a 728 pixel wide by 90 pixel high 'jpg' file, or send us the images and information that you would like in your banner. Email our Webmaster, and include the jpg file, the link you want the banner to click to, and your contact information. We will contact you to verify the information, and your banner will be displayed at our site.

Can I bookmark a video?
Yes, just play the video you want to bookmark, and add it to your favorites folder in your browser. We have chosen to use a method that has very long addresses, but this way you can copy the video's address and share them with your friends.

The videos do not play.
Make sure that you have Flash 8.0 or higher installed. When you click on a video title in the video menu on the right hand side of the screen, the video should begin to play automatically. Depending on your connection, there may be a delay while some of the video downloads.

The video starts and stops.
The high quality video on this web site requires much higher data rates than normal low quality internet video. The Flash encoding method also requires substantial processing power. If your video starts and stops, then your computer cannot process the data fast enough, or your connection cannot provide the data fast enough. You can try letting the video load completely, and then be able to watch it smoothly.

The controls are in the way of the video.
First, click on the video screen, and then the video controls will only appear when you mouse over the screen. This gives you more room for video.

There are no video controls.
When you move your mouse over the video screen, the controls will appear.
